Alexis P. Suter
Vocalist

Alexis P. Suter has been a staple of underground Garage sounds since the early 90's and was the first African-American woman signed to Sony-Epic (Japan). Her legendary Club Shelter anthem Slam Me Baby distinguished her as a genuine underground star with penetrating vocals. For Sony she brought forth an EP titled Drums of Freedom including the hit We Need Each Other.

Miss Suter joined the HipBone Records family in 1998 and recorded the first single on the label All Night Long, and then the smash follow-up You Don't Know. A seasoned gospel performer, she is a featured vocalist with New York's acclaimed Lavender Light Gospel Choir, and with performance art groups, The PAC and Hot Fudge. Current releases for Alexis include Keep It Together on Z Records in the UK, Love Life on HipBone, and the soon to be released Plain Folks with the groovy jazz funk band TUBA. Alexis maintains an active live performance schedule and is recording a new single for HipBone.
