About HipBone Records

Vicki Bell

HipBone Records co-founder and producer / composer / vocalist Vicki Bell is becoming increasingly visible through her work with labels, producers and artists. Her compositions and productions are featured on recordings for HipBone, I! Records, Priority, Z Records, Naked Music, Liquid Sound Lounge, Irma and Sole Music.

A dancer and singer in her own right, Vicki's performance break came upon completion of her scholarship at The Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. She starred in and toured nationally and internationally with productions such as "A Chorus Line", "West Side Story" and for the President in a concert series titled "In Performance at the White House". Her stage experience set in motion Vicki's commitment to involvement in multiple roles of performance and production. The touring experience exposed Vicki to the prevailing club / dance environment globally which lent an air to her styling.

Miss Bell began recording and performing live with Freestyle groups The Girls Club on Active / Select records and Three of Hearts on Cutting Records. This led to more of the same with underground notables in New York including TUBA, Open Door, World Style Productions, Coati Mundi, Natural Flavors, Alexis P. Suter, Glenn Turner and Children of Planet Earth. Vicki's productions and compositions are featured on the Discovery and Travel Television networks and for 2 upcoming documentary films. She is a producer, composer and performer in The Open Door with an upcoming album release on Sole Music in the United Kingdom. Some other projects in the works include LP's for Alexis P. Suter and painter Matthew Cusick.
